Sajama is the oldest Bolivian national park. Although it is a protected area, you can’t see as many wild animals as in the pampas. However, fauna is still sometimes surprising there. Nothing tells a story better than a photograph, so instead of describing our experience at Sajama National Park and what we saw, we’ll let our photos do the talking and showcase all the spectacular Bolivian wildlife in this old park. Here is an overview of what kind of animals and birds you can expect to see in the Bolivian pampas. I must say that the three days we took in the pampas were really worth, I’ve never seen such a big amount of different beautiful animals in their habitat in such a small time. Here are the photos: We shouldn’t forget the incredible Pink Dolphins but it is very difficult to take photos as they barely get out of the water, they come nevertheless very close to the boat.
