List of things I really miss from when we were in Toronto, we spent 2 beautiful years and most of it was cold “really cold” but I can’t deny how comfy and clean the city was. Street Cars, Subway and Buses (aka Public Transportation) This one is everywhere “almost” but in Toronto it was different. I’m holding a Syrian passport, which requires that I renew my passport every two years. I was in Toronto and wanted to do that before we started our round-the-world trip, so I checked with my embassy to see how long it would take to renew my passport. They said up to six months! Usually I do that in a couple of days back in Egypt, but for some reason that wasn’t the case in Toronto. Anyway, I sent my passport to the Syrian embassy in Ottawa and received it six months later. Toronto is a big city and have a lot of restaurants, Arabic food can be found easily in the city in plenty of places. Arabic restaurants – Paramount: Middle-Eastern cuisine and the meat/chicken is certified Halal food. During Ramadan the place is extremely busy and advised to arrive early to iftar time. – Tabülè Middle Eastern Cuisine Much quieter than Paramount and this is a Lebanese restaurant, some of the meat is Halal.
